Tyranny exposed

Against the chilling backdrop of the Zeppelin Field, where Hitler addressed the vast Nazi rallies in the 30’s, the Dalai Lama gave a talk at the Arena Versicherung in Nürnberg, Germany on Sunday May 18.

While he lectured his audience on human rights and the importance of religious tolerance, outside hundreds of victims of his own human rights abuses and religious intolerance demonstrated to bring his duplicity to the attention of the world.

Tyrant

In abandoning the centuries old Buddhist practice of relying upon the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden and rejecting his Spiritual Guide simply to further his own political ambitions the Dalai Lama has shown that spiritual commitments sacred to millions of Buddhists around the world mean nothing to him.

In then persecuting those who refuse to follow him in his betrayal, threatening to “knock on their doors” if they do not comply, and condemning those who retain the practice to the status of “untouchables” within the exiled Tibetan community, he has shown himself to be a tyrant who is prepared to create schisms among his own people and use fear and intimidation to retain his grip on political power.

Victims

Those who bravely stood outside his talk in Nurnberg in the shadows of the bleak walls of the Zeppelin Field to protest his hypocrisy know the truth – they are all victims of his hidden persecution:

Monks and nuns forbidden to do the practice and unconstitutionally expelled from their monasteries and nunneries if they do not comply
Thousands of Shugden practitioners among the Tibetan lay people being forced to abandon the practice or lose the support of their government and face orchestrated public humiliation and intimidation

People who refuse to renounce the practice losing their jobs, their children being expelled from schools, and their travel papers, which require prior authorization from the Tibetan Government in Exile, not being endorsed
Statues smashed, temples destroyed, books burned, practitioner’s houses attacked, and even death threats issued

These realities are there for all to see when the world press decides to investigate.
Ruthless exploitation

And now the effects of the Dalai Lama’s religious discrimination are being felt throughout the Buddhist world outside of the Tibetan community as practitioner is set against practitioner and previously harmonious Buddhist organizations and communities are torn asunder by his divisive speech and ruthless exploitation of his celebrity status.

This is why thousands of monks, nuns, and lay practitioners in countries throughout the world have gathered together under the umbrella of the Western Shugden Society to oppose the Dalai Lama and bring the fresh air of public scrutiny into the fetid world of his hidden tyranny.

Passion

For the thousands of people who filed past the demonstration in Nürnberg as they left the talk, this was an opportunity to see the other side of the Dalai Lama.
They stood in silence and read our banners, they listened to our chants and declarations, and they took home with them the booklet, The Tibetan Situation Today.

When they sit down to read the booklet, they will understand why there was so much passion in the faces of those who joined the demonstration.
And slowly the shine will be wiped from the Dalai Lama’s glossy image and people will begin to investigate the truth for themselves.

Frantic schedule

In a frantic schedule of talks designed to woo public opinion in the West, no sooner had the Dalai Lama finished his talk in Nürnberg than he sped to the nearby town of Bamberg to address another audience.

And those who had stood outside the Arena in Nürnberg to protest his religious discrimination followed him to deliver their message to his next audience.

Something is wrong

As the chants of ‘Dalai Lama, Stop Lying’ resonated around the Arena in Bamberg, those inside could not have helped but notice that something was not right with the carefully crafted message the Dalai Lama was presenting to them.

As they watched and listened to someone they had assumed was a model of truth and integrity, they were hearing that he is hypocritical and deceptive.

For political reasons, he lies to the world about the practice of Dorje Shugden and he lies about the actions he and his government in exile are taking to ostracize those who continue with the practice.

He denies there is persecution, he denies there is intimidation, and he denies thousands are suffering ostracism and humiliation – even though there is manifest evidence to prove it is happening.

Lesson from history

But, as history shows, no one can suppress the truth forever.

Those whom the Dalai Lama is persecuting simply because they are following a centuries old Buddhist practice have risen up in protest – and will continue to protest until through the power of public scrutiny he is forced to lift the ban on the practice of Dorje Shugden and stop persecuting those who rely on it.
