Powerful end to the unforgettable US demonstrations

Madison Day 3

The chants of 300 people were vibrant, full of feeling and energized to a new level by everything we had experienced during the last two weeks. We spoke as one great chorus, one insistent voice … with courage and determination we will reveal the Dalai Lama’s hypocrisy, and accomplish religious freedom for Shugden practitioners.

Following our lunch break, Kelsang Pema gathered us together and we thanked our Venerable guests from India, Canada and the US, and all those who had worked so hard to plan, run and take part in this unforgettable series of US demonstrations.

We concluding by offering Prayers for the Virtuous Tradition and the Migtsema prayer to our lineages Gurus and all great Shugden practitioners of the past, who, although we could not see them directly, had unquestionably been with us to bless our activities. Irrespective of our nationality, our Teacher, or our Center affiliation, the strong spiritual bond that brought us together at this time was very apparent. What a precious opportunity we had been given to collectively thank our kind Spiritual Guides, and to beseech them and their emanations to remain with us always. There were many grateful and joyful tears.

For the last few hours of chanting, we directed all the voice energy we could summon towards creating the causes for Shugden Buddhists everywhere to be free to practice their prayers safely and securely, and for Je Tsongkhapa’s pure doctrine to remain forever in this world to benefit sentient beings.

Then, it was over. More than a million chanted mantras had been offered and ten thousand booklets had been distributed since we began in Bethlehem.

One by one then, buses, shuttles and cars departed for airports and home destinations. And although our voices are still for now, they will continue to be heard in other places speaking the sad truth that
is necessary to tell … Dalai Lama, Stop Lying. Dalai Lama, Give Religious Freedom.
