Australia Protests: Sydney Olympic Park - Day 2
Passionate protesters once again delivered their message to the Dalai Lama in Sydney today, this time surrounded by a mass of media keen to discover the truth behind the Dalai Lama’s publicity machine.
In true Australian style, the media is beginning to investigate just how ‘fair dinkum’ the Dalai Lama is.
On day two of the protest, it was becoming apparent to all observers that the protestors are just a group of ordinary, gentle Buddhists, united in compassion against a political leader whose words and actions don’t match up.
The protesters’ joyful nature was starting to influence the people around them: security on the other side of the road started dancing in time with the melodious chanting, the police delighted in our mid-demonstration tea breaks and it seemed even the birds and police horses joined in with the chanting.
